About

I’m a writer and artist with hEDS and CFS/ME, and my husband, Michael, has cerebral palsy.

I mostly write creative nonfiction, sometimes about disability and the stigma that surrounds visible and invisible disabilities.

Here’s a short bio:

Alizabeth Worley graduated with an MFA in Utah, where she lives with her husband and two kids. She was a 2016 winner of the AWP Intro Journals Award for her poem “Kid” and her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Guernica, Grist, Tar River Poetry, Iron Horse Literary Review, and elsewhere.

Her husband, Michael, is an attorney with spastic quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. They take seriously the business of eating breakfast for dinner, watching The Good Place, and walking around their Alma Mater while the bells are playing.
